About Us
Virtus FC is founded on the following principles:
Technical Excellence
Players will be provided complete practice sessions focusing on only individual development - ball control/comfort, dribbling, passing, receiving, skill moves, shooting, speed, agility, heading (age-appropriate), defending, attacking, turning, etc.
Soccer IQ & Tactical Excellence
Simply put, players play soccer with their brain and their legs are there to help. Players will be provided training in the ability to identify their options on the field before they receive the ball, helping them become tactically sound.
Coaching Distinction
Our coaching goal is to provide the highest level of training we can for your child. Our coaches take a mastery approach to soccer rather than a “win-at-all-cost” mentality, teaching athletes to put forward maximum effort, continuously learn and improve, and not let themselves be stopped by mistakes or fear of mistakes. Coaches aim to be those, who strive to win, while also pursuing the more-important goal of teaching life lessons through soccer. Our coaches will honor the game by respecting the rules, opponents, officials, and teammates.
Exemplary Sportsmanship
Rules of the Game: We obey the rules even if we can get away with bending them, and even if our opponents don’t.
Opponents: A worthy opponent helps us get better—we want to play fierce and friendly and never think of opponents as enemies.
Officials: We respect officials even when bad calls go against us and we don’t want players to negatively confront officials during a game even if we are being treated unfairly.
Teammates: We expect players not to do anything to embarrass their teammates, on or off the field.
Cost affordability
Provide athletes with the ability to play the game they love at an affordable rate. Virtus FC does not charge a Club Fee.
